Who are we?

At Dreadnought Trading Estate we specialise in the letting of our own commercial and industrial units to a diverse group of businesses. As a family owned company we take pride in the running of the estate and all our tenants can be assured of a friendly and responsive service.

The first parcel of land was purchased in 1969 with a number of existing old buildings and then the estate expanded through the acquisition of land in the 1970s and early 80s. Most of the old buildings were demolished and replaced with new.

The estate has evolved since then and we continue to be flexible to accommodate the changing needs of the business as it grows. A testimony of our success is having many loyal long-standing tenants from a diverse range of industries, including accountants, solicitors, precision engineering, vehicle maintenance, plumbing and heating engineers, fishmongers, diagnostics, kitchen suppliers and window, door and conservatory suppliers to name but a few.

Dreadnought Trading Estate is within walking distance of the town of Bridport with Axminster, Weymouth and Dorchester in close proximity and West Bay beach only a 5 minute drive away.

Bridport is a vibrant market town with over 1000 listed properties set in the heart of beautiful West Dorset. It has a rich, rope-making heritage and a tremendous reputation for arts, culture and food. The area, with its World Heritage status coastline, is renowned for its rolling hills, Jurassic coast, and tales of Thomas Hardy. For a quality of life away from the rat race, Bridport has plenty to offer a relocating business.

Our Commercial and Industrial Units

The Estate offers 35 units of various size and type from approximately 500 to 5000 square feet (subject to availability) on our 3.56 acre site. Constructed of a steel portal frame and galvanised roof, the units all benefit from the essential utilities: gas, 3-phase electric, water and mains drainage.
